We convert your non-UK qualification(s) to give an international (US) equivalency as well as a reference point to Scottish equivalent terms which can be understood by educational institutions and employers in Scotland. This includes an advisory level matched to the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

When completed, our professional evaluation report is valid for up to 5 years and can help fulfil your ambitions for work or study in Scotland.

    TRANSCRIPTS

    Complete official sets of student’s permanent academic record (transcripts/report cards/examination statements/marks sheets) showing subjects or courses studied per each academic term/year with hours of instruction (lecture/laboratory/credits/units) and final examination results/grades/marks issued by the institution(s) or examination board/body.

    CERTIFICATE/DIPLOMA/DEGREE/PROFESSIONAL LICENSE

    Official proof of graduation (if a program of study/training has been completed) in the form of a Certificate of Graduation, Matriculation Certificate, External Examination Certificate, Diploma, Degree, or Professional License is to be submitted. NOTE: ACEI/BWC will not evaluate Certificates/Diplomas/Degrees/Licenses without academic transcripts or examination certificates (Refunds are not issued for applications submitted with incomplete documents). Please read our Terms and Conditions for further information.

    TRANSLATIONS

    Complete Official set of translations for all academic documents issued in a language other than English must be translated into English. Translations must be official or original, line-by-line, word-for-word and in the same format as the original-language documents prepared by a licensed translator.

    NOTE: CREDENTIAL EVALUATION AND TRANSLATION OF DOCUMENTS ARE TWO SEPARATE SERVICES AND FEES.

    EVALUATIONS ARE NOT BASED ON TRANSLATIONS ALONE.

    DO NOT SUBMIT ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS WITHOUT THE DOCUMENTS IN THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGE.

    MULTIPLE CREDENTIALS/DEGREES

    Academic documents of undergraduate (1st degree) studies must be provided with payment for each credential earned for evaluation with any post graduate/Master’s and graduate/Doctoral degree studies that are to be evaluated (Refer to fees). All post-secondary studies are evaluated in the chronological order completed. ACEI/BWC does not evaluate credentials out of context. If you have multiple post-secondary/university level credentials, provide documentation supporting all. For example, if you have earned a PhD, academic ITI ScoNet credentials supporting all previous university level education (such as Bachelor’s and Master’s) are required.

    DOCTORATE (PH.D.) DEGREE

    Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree studies must be supported with an abstract (summary) of the doctoral dissertation title/thesis title as well as academic documents (transcripts and degree) supporting ALL previous education (e.g. undergraduate Bachelor’s and graduate Master’s).

    SYLLABUS

    Course descriptions/syllabi are not required but may be requested by ACEI/BWC if academic documents lack complete information on subject titles/content and/or instruction hours. Course syllabi become the property of ACEI/BWC and will not be returned.

    NOTE: DO NOT SUBMIT SYLLABI UNLESS REQUESTED BY ACEI/BWC.

    PROOF OF NAME CHANGE

    In the event your name has changed (through marriage, citizenship, etc.); please provide a copy of legal proof of name change (e.g. copy of marriage certificate, naturalisation certificate, or other legal documents).

    MISSING DOCUMENTS

    In the event ACEI/BWC determines that documents pertaining to the evaluation are missing and not provided with the application, ACEI/BWC will notify the applicant by email with instructions. Please note it is the applicant’s responsibility to request and provide all required documentation for evaluation.

    VERIFICATION

    ACEI/BWC reserves the right to verify studies and credentials with the institution(s) attended and/or advise the applicant to contact source institution(s) directly to obtain verification.

    IMPORTANT NOTES

    1. DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS BY MAIL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED BY ACEI/BWC. If ACEI/BWC has contacted you to mail in your original/official or other supporting credentials/documents to our mail center; mail pickup is limited to once a week. You may incur delays to the processing of your file. Once your mail has been collected it will be added to your file for review and processing. Mail fee is required for the return of any original documents, and you will be notified by email for payment. ACEI/BWC is not responsible for the retention/storage of any original documents.

    2. Official documents or verification by your institution or third parties must be sent directly to ACEI at info@acei-global.org. You must have an application on file. ACEI/BWC is not responsible for and does not retain, documents that cannot be matched to an active application. If you have any questions regarding official documents, refer to COUNTRY REQUIREMENTS section on our website or contact ACEI at info@acei-global.org.

    3. When uploading documents on your online application, upload high quality colour PDF scans of both sides of the official original certificate(s), diploma(s) or degree(s) with transcripts/mark sheets (courses and grades), certified English translations (if applicable), proof of name change (if applicable).

    AFGHANISTAN

    CUBA

    Secondary/High School:

    • The first step is to submit your documents Certificado de Notas/Hoja Académica/Certificado de Calificaciones and Título (transcripts and diplomas) issued in Spanish legalised through and mailed directly to ACEI by the Consultoria Juridica Internacional (see address below) or Bufete de Servicios Especializados (see address below).

    You may also contact The Consular Section of Embassy of Cuba in Washington, D.C. for assistance. (The Embassy sends documents to MINREX - Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores in Cuba; once the documents are back from MINREX to the Embassy, the Embassy legalizes with stamps and seals.)

    After your educational documents have been legalised, you will send them directly to ACEI/BWC. (We require the original language documents with all appropriate seals in place and also an official, literal English translation of the documents). The legalised documents will become the property of ACEI. Note: Unofficial records (e.g., Acta de Grado, etc.) will not be accepted.

    IRAN

    Secondary/High School:

    • Please submit Notarised Colour Copies of transcripts, graduation diploma, and Pre-University Year completion certificate (if completed) with official English translations.

    Post-secondary/University – Applicants who have studied at the university level in Iran (see below, if studies were at Islamic Azad University) are required to complete the following steps before submitting their documents to ACEI for evaluation:

    • Obtain approval of the academic documents from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) by either submitting documents online via the Student Affairs Portal of the MSRT or in person

    • Have the MSRT-approved academic documents translated by a Ministry of Justice authorized translator and obtaining certification of the translated documents at the same Ministry

    • Have the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs validate the stamp of the Ministry of Justice on the translated documents (transcripts and diplomas/degrees) attached to copies of documents issued in Farsi

    • Have your academic documents notarised. Submit clear colour copies of your academic documents and completed notary with your application form for evaluation.

    Islamic Azad University – Applicants who have studied at the Islamic Azad University in Iran or its branch campuses outside Iran, are required to complete the following steps before submitting their documents to ACEI for evaluation:

    • Have the academic documents translated by a Ministry of Justice authorised translator and obtaining certification of the translated documents at the same Ministry

    • Have the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs validate the stamp of the Ministry of Justice on the translated documents (transcripts and diplomas/degrees) attached to copies of documents issued in Farsi

    • Have your academic documents notarised. Submit clear colour copies of your academic documents and completed notary with your application form for evaluation.

    NOTE: Upon receipt of the application for evaluation and academic documents for Islamic Azad University studies, ACEI will contact the University for verification of transcripts and any degrees submitted.

    ITALY

    Secondary/High School:

    • Diploma and the final Examination Results (e.g. Diploma di Maturita/Diploma di Superamento dell’Esame di Stato Conclusivo del Corso di Studio, etc.) together with the Pagella Scolastica for each year of study completed.

    Post-secondary/University - please contact DIGITARY for electronic transmission of your digital documents to ACEI:

    • Certificato d’esami/Transcript for all studies, with years of study, course titles, and grades (if issued solely in Italian, please also provide English translations)

    • Diplomas/Degree Certificates earned for all studies (if issued solely in Italian, please also provide English translation)’

    • Diploma Supplements, if available (in connection with the educational reforms from the Bologna Process).

    NOTE: If documents are issued solely in Italian, official English translations will be required. If documents are issued in Italian and English, translation is not needed.

    NIGERIA

    Secondary/High School:

    1. Please go to www.waec.org to create your account and share your WAEC examination results and email directly to info@acei-global.org

    2. Please submit your NECO certificate with Token

    Post-secondary/University:

    • Official transcripts certifying award of any diploma/degree to be sent directly to ACEI from institution to info@acei-global.org

    Alternatively, you have the option of having your post-secondary transcripts and degree (if earned) verified by Qualification Check.     SYRIAN ARAB REPUBLIC

  • QUALIFICATION CHECK

    You have the option of having your post-secondary transcripts and degree (if you graduated) verified by Qualification Check. If you choose this option, you will not need to submit your official documents to ACEI/BWC.

    Qualification Check verifies educational records at 40,000+ education institutions in over 190 countries in an average of 5-10 days.

    If you use Qualification Check, you will need to upload a PDF of both your transcripts and any degrees or diplomas you earned.

  • ACEI/BWC provides the following evaluation reports for individuals who have studied outside of Scotland and need statements of academic equivalence in terms of international equivalence (U.S. system of education) with an advisory SCQF Level. ACEI/BWC evaluations are suitable for Scottish further education colleges, universities, employers and any entity which requires an evaluation of international academic studies.

    BASIC REPORT

    • General Document-by-Document

    • Suitable for employment or any purpose where a course-by-course and grades is not required

    • Identifies and describes each transcript, grade report, examination record, marks sheet, certificate, diploma, or degree submitted for evaluation

    • Identifies the institution(s) attended and location(s)

    • Confirms the status of the institution(s) attended, entrance criteria, duration of studies and purpose of program

    • Recommends the U.S. educational equivalent of each level of study and credentials earned.

    • Provides an advisory level referenced to the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF)

    COMPREHENSIVE REPORT

    (Course-by-Course with Grades) – suitable for further education college/university admission, employment

    • Identifies and describes each transcript, grade report, examination record, marks sheet, certificate, diploma, or degree submitted for evaluation

    • Identifies the institution(s) attended and location(s)

    • Confirms the status of the institution(s), entrance criteria, duration of studies and purpose of program

    • Recommends the U.S. educational equivalent of each level of study and credentials earned

    • Provides an advisory level referenced to the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF)

    • Provides a list of courses/subjects studied per academic year

    • Converts instruction (lecture & laboratory) hours into equivalent U.S. Semester Units of Credit for all post-secondary/university-level courses

    • Converts grades/marks/final examination results into equivalent U.S. grades of A, B, C, D, F for each subject/course evaluated

    • Calculates an overall Grade Point Average (G.P.A.)

    • Identifies course levels as lower/upper division/graduate/professional level for each post-secondary course evaluated

  • Standard Processing (up to 10 Business Days)

    ACEI/BWC requires up to 10 business days to complete an evaluation from the day ALL documents, application, and fees are received.

    RUSH Services

    To meet deadlines, ACEI/BWC offers 2 types of RUSH Service. Applying for RUSH Service guarantees completion of the evaluation within the timeline selected. The fee for RUSH Service is in addition to the evaluation fee.

    • Three (3) Business Days (evaluation is completed within 3 full business days from receipt of ALL requirements)*

    • Five (5) Business Days (evaluation is completed within 5 full business days from receipt of ALL requirements)*

    *The RUSH Service goes into effect only when ALL required fees, application, and academic documents have been received by ACEI/BWC. In accordance to the following time zone in the United States. 9am-3pm Pacific Standard Time excluding holidays.

  • EVALUATION REPORTS

    The evaluation fee is based on the level(s) of education you have completed and the type of report selected; not the expected/anticipated outcome of the evaluation. The fee for the type of evaluation report you select provides you with ONE (1) OFFICIAL REPORT and ONE (1) APPLICANT COPY. Refer to Report Types for detailed information on each report and content. Please check with the institution/organisation/entity for which the evaluation is intended to ensure the type of evaluation report required. (The evaluation fee does not include Delivery Fee)

    1 | BASIC REPORT (General Document-by-Document)

    a) High School/Secondary Level Education (only): £175.00

    b) College/University Education

    Fee for 1st set of academic transcript & certificate/diploma/degree: £175.00

    Fee for 1 & more academic transcripts & certificate/diploma/degrees (flat fee): £225.00

    2 | COMPREHENSIVE REPORT (Course-by-Course with Grades)

    a) High School/Secondary Level Education (only): £250.00

    b) College/University Education

    Fee for 1st set of academic transcript & certificate/diploma/degree: £250.00

    Fee for academic transcript & certificate/diploma/degree beyond 1st credential (must pay £250.00 for 1st set): £150.00 each

    NOTE: Fee does NOT cover the cost for shipping/handling of the reports. You will be charged the Standard Mail/E-mail fee for each mailing/email address, if not provided.

    RUSH SERVICE

    Standard processing time to complete an evaluation is up to 10 business days. Rush service is available for faster turn-around.

    • Three (3) Business Days: £200.00

    • Five (5) Business Days: £150.00

    (The fee for Rush Service is in addition to the Evaluation and Delivery Fee.)

    DUPLICATE REPORTS

    a) ORDERED WITH EVALUATION - The fee for the Evaluation Report you select provides you with the ONE (1) OFFICIAL REPORT and ONE (1) APPLICANT COPY. Fees to order additional official evaluation reports with your application:

    • Fee for each duplicate report at the time of application filling and evaluation £70.00 (per duplicate report)

    b) ORDERED AFTER EVALUATION - If you need another official report of the evaluation that was prepared, please click HERE.

    If you are requesting a different evaluation report from the one you had previously requested, you would need to submit a new ACEI/BWC Application with fees along with official documents.

    DELIVERY OF EVALUATION REPORT (REQUIRED)

    • ACEI/BWC only releases your official evaluation digitally to a 3rd party. If you do not have a recipient at this time, ACEI/BWC will release your official report when you provide third party recipient's contact information.

    PAYMENT/MISSING FEES FORM

    EVALUATION REVIEW: £50.00

    After the evaluation has been completed, any questions regarding the evaluation, based on the documents provided to ACEI/BWC with the initial application, must be submitted in writing to ACEI/BWC within the first one (1) month of the completion date (“Grace Period”). Requests for review of the evaluation or questions concerning the evaluation submitted after expiration of the “Grace Period” shall be subject to a £50.00 review fee.

    REACTIVATION: £50.00

    If an applicant fails to provide all required documentation with the application within two (2) months of the date the application was received, the applicant acknowledges and agrees that the application shall automatically be deemed as inactive. Reactivation fee is £50.00.

    EVALUATION UPGRADE

    Evaluation of credentials not submitted with the original application request are treated as new evaluations and require full payment, a new application, and academic documents. Requests to change a report type (e.g. Basic Report to a Comprehensive Report or vice-versa), once an evaluation has been completed, require full payment with a new application.
